To assist, Troutdale is opening a new Visitor Center in Spring 2022, which will have the knowledgeable experts and reliable resources needed to make a trip to The Gorge enjoyable and relax-free!
Due to that popularity, visitors should plan their trip carefully, to maximize their time while reducing the impact on the environment. Troutdale offers individuals, families and groups the chance to make the most of their excursion to The Gorge.
Most visitors typically begin their experience with their cars, but there are many opportunities to visit The Gorge without it, eliminating the need to find parking, wait in lines or worry about supplies. Several shuttle services exist in the area, beginning with the Columbia Gorge Express. This excellent transit service is an extremely economical option, offering daily bus service between Portland, Multnomah Falls, Cascade Locks and Hood River. There is a stop in Troutdale, but it must be arranged one day in advance by calling (541) 386-4202.

With a new stop in Troutdale in 2022, the Sasquatch Shuttle offers Troutdale visitors even more flexibility to access their favorite waterfalls, vistas and hiking trails.
The Waterfall Corridor is even more enjoyable without the stress of driving, parking and making reservations by utilizing the Waterfall Trolley. Visitors can hop on and off the trolley from various parking lots at multiple locations throughout The Gorge.
