Permit Update for Oregon State Parks

17 Sep 2025
news
Beginning October 1, 2025, a daily parking permit will be required at 22 additional Oregon State Parks, including:
Permit options include a daily pass as well as 12 and 24-month permits.
- Daily permit: $10 (Oregon residents) / $12 (nonresidents)
- 12-month permit: $30
- 24-month permit: $50
Visitors arriving on foot, bike, or public transit, or those with a valid camping receipt, do not need a permit.
So where will the money from the fees go? Parking fees, along with RV registration revenues and Oregon Lottery profits, fund Oregon State Parks’ daily operations—since the system receives no tax dollars for that purpose. These revenues support essential services such as trail maintenance, restrooms, paving, staffing, and historic site preservation.
