The First Friday of each month has long been a cornerstone of Troutdale’s art community and the businesses in our downtown. For nearly 20 years, the First Friday Art Walk has brought people together to experience what Troutdale has to offer. The event returns on May 6 and continues on the first Friday of each month through September.

From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., our downtown galleries will showcase local artists while many restaurants and retailers will be expanding into the street, alongside more than 50 local artisans. This family friendly event also features live music, a kid zone, and great food options! You'll be able to stroll down Historic Columbia River Highway, enjoying the Gateway to the Gorge!

The road will close to vehicle traffic between Buxton Road and Kibling Street at 3:00 p.m. and the activities will begin at 5:00. Approximately one hour after the event ends, the road will reopen to traffic. While businesses and vendors must remove any canopies or booths from the road and sidewalk by 9:00 p.m., many of our brick and mortar businesses do remain open after the event ends.

You can find parking on the side streets as well as in the lots on Kibling, above Mayors Square and behind the north side of Historic Columbia River Highway. Additional parking can be found at the Troutdale Art Center and Glenn Otto Park, with shuttle service. There will also be be shuttle service, provided by Sasquatch Shuttle, at McMenamins Edgefield and Harvest Christian Church.

Come on down and support our local businesses and community! Stay tuned to Explore Troutdale's Facebook and Instagram pages for more updates.
